WATCH: Dublin Postal Carrier Robbed At Gunpoint
News outlets have provided surveillance footage and new information regarding the armed robbery of a postal worker last Monday in Dublin.
DUBLIN, CA — KTVU and The Sacramento Bee released surveillance footage of a postal carrier who was robbed last Monday in Dublin at about 4:30 p.m.
Footage shows the carrier putting mail into mailboxes when a masked man runs up behind her and holds a gun to her head. Another masked man runs from behind the truck. The postal carrier told KTVU he told her to give her his keys, and said, “You don’t want to die, do you?” After she got her keys, the suspect told her she had two minutes to give them her phone.
She goes inside her truck and hands them the items, and then they run off. The postal carrier told KTVU she thought that she was going to die, but kept reminding herself to stay calm. She said she is grateful for the help of neighbors and police officers, and that she was not physically hurt during the attack.
