Graffiti discovered in a bathroom at Cosumnes Oaks High School referenced a bomb threat against the school Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The threat is not believed to be credible, according to CBS Local, but the campus will see an increased law enforcement presence.
Making threats is a felony offense, CBS Local reported.
βThe safety of our students and staff is a top priority at our schools. We do not consider these actions to be pranks. They are disruptive to our school and community,β Elk Grove Unified School Disctrict spokesman Xanthi Pinkerton told the station in a statement.
βAs such, when the responsible party/parties are identified, they will be arrested and recommended for expulsion.β
