New 'Fake Tree' Cell Tower Could Come to Elk Grove

5 Things to Know in Elk Grove This Week:
AT&T could build an 85-foot-tallΒ pine tree near Sheldon Road and East Stockton Boulevard, but first it needs to get city approvalβbecause it wouldΒ actually beΒ a cell phone tower.
The Elk Grove Planning Commission will consider the item at its meeting, 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 8400 Laguna Palms Way. The full agenda is here.

The CSD's annual Hot Summer Nights concert series begins again this week, and features different musicians each Friday in August at Laguna Town Hall, 3020 Renwick Ave. Concerts run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are free. This Friday is "Elvis Night." More info here.
