
An Elk Grove woman was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night when she stopped at anΒ intersection in a residential neighborhood.
The woman was driving around 10:45 p.m. near Mary Ellen Way and Polhemus Drive, just east of Elk Grove-Florin Road.
When she stopped at a stop sign, two men approached her car from either side, a police crime log says she reported. Both men were armed, and they reportedlyΒ opened the doors to her car, trained their weapons on her and demanded her property.
"One of the suspects removed U.S. currency from [the victim's]Β purse along with her iPhone," the Elk Grove Police crime log states. "The suspects then fled on foot and [the victim]Β was not injured."
Descriptions were not available for the suspects.
