4 San Dieguito Union High Schools Earn AP School Honor Roll Accolades

ENCINITAS, CA — All four San Dieguito Union High School District high schools that offer Advanced Placement courses were recently recognized by the College Board as AP School Honor Roll 2022-23 Recipients.

Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad, San Dieguito High School Academy in Encinitas and Torrey Pines High School in San Diego received awards.

The College Board's AP Program enables students to pursue college-level studies with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement or both while still in high school.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that increase college-going culture, provide opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximize college readiness. The recognition offers four levels of distinction: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Schools on the AP School Honor Roll may also earn the AP Access Award, which honors schools that demonstrate a commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework.

Canyon Crest Academy earned platinum distinction, La Costa Canyon and Torrey Pines both received gold with access distinctions, and San Dieguito High School Academy received silver with access distinction.

A total of 4,570 schools — representing 30 percent of all eligible high schools in the U.S. — earned recognition for their work creating AP programs that are delivering results for students while broadening access, according to the College Board.
