2. Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton will greet fans at Hansen Surfboards 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at 1105 S. Coast Highway, Encinitas.

4. Tickets are on sale for the 24th Annual Taste of Mainstreet Aug. 20 in Encinitas. They start at $25 and can be purchased online.
