City Of Encinitas Offers Sandbags To Residents Before Incoming Storms
Sandbags are available 24 hours a day while supplies last, city says.
ENCINITAS, CA — The city of Encinitas Public Works Department is offering a limited number of sandbags to its residents in advance of an upcoming storm that could potentially dump a quarter of inch of rain on the seaside town.
Sandbags are available 24 hours a day while supplies last at 160 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas - on the southwest corner of the parking lot at the self-filling sandbag station, the city said in a news release.
"Self-load sandbags are available for residents only, not contractors," the city said, adding that once the material supply is depleted the Public Works Department may not restock sandbags.
