Coastal Roots Farm To Host First-Ever 'Express Freely, Art-Making Day'
The Encinitas-based farm has commissioned five teaching artists from across the country to guide the art sessions.

ENCINITAS, CA — Community members are invited to a special art making day at Coastal Roots Farm in northern San Diego County.
The nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center in Encinitas is teaming up with the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center and Limmud North America for the first-ever "Express Freely, Art-Making Day" Sunday.
Each participant will get to participate in two art tracks, choosing between creative writing, photography, theater and movement, choral singing, and visual art. Coastal Roots Farm has commissioned five teaching artists from across the country to guide the sessions.

The program is geared toward adults, but children ages 14 and up are also welcome. Two of the tracks will be particularly family friendly, according to organizers. Experience is not necessary.

Schedule:
Gather and Connect: 1-1:30 p.m.
1st Track: 1:30-3 p.m.
2nd Track: 3-4:30 p.m.
Closing Party and Art-Sharing: 4:30-5 p.m.

Daniel Henkin: Instant Choir (family friendly)
Rebecca Joy Fletcher: Theater and Movement
Sidura Ludwig: Creative Writing
Stephanie Lifshutz: Photography (family friendly)
Visual Art: TBA
The event will take place from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Coastal Roots Farm at 441 Saxony Road in Encinitas.
Tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for students, and $18 for children. Due to limited capacity, pre-registration is required.
