Coastal Roots Farm Launches Farm Film & Music Series
The series kicks off Thursday at Coastal Roots Farm, a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center in Encinitas.

ENCINITAS, CA — Coastal Roots Farm is launching a new Farm Film & Music Series designed to educate and entertain the community about the planet.
Four film screenings will take place at Coastal Roots Farm, a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center in Encinitas.
"Adding on to the summer fun at the Farm, this thought-out series is an entertaining way to learn about equitable food systems, climate change, environmental justice and more," a news release said.

The Farm Film & Music Series kicks off Thursday, July 22, with "Kiss the Ground," a full-length documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the film will begin at 8 p.m.

"Attendees will learn from inspiring activists, scientists, farmers and politicians about how regenerative agriculture has the potential to save our soil, combat climate change and feed the world," the release said.
The Farm Film & Music Series lineup also includes "Seeding Change" on Aug. 26, "Gather" on Sept. 9 and "Kitchenistas" on Oct. 7.
Tickets are $10. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, food and drinks.
Coastal Roots Farm is at 441 Saxony Road in Encinitas.
