North Island Credit Union Foundation is offering grants through its teacher grant program.

ENCINITAS, CA — Are you an Encinitas teacher with an innovative class project idea? North Island Credit Union Foundation could help fund your project.

North Island Credit Union Foundation is offering grants through its teacher grant program. The foundation will award 10 $500 grants to area teachers in April for the spring program.

The grant program is available to full-time teachers in San Diego and Riverside counties, or credit union members teaching in California, looking to fund special learning opportunities for their students. Projects should have clearly defined learning objectives tied to students' academic needs, display creativity, and benefit a significant number of students, according to the foundation, a nonprofit corporation that serves as the philanthropic arm of North Island Credit Union.

"Our long-time teacher grant program provides those extra funds that enable our dedicated educators to bring creative new projects to their students. We encourage all our teachers to submit their ideas so we can support their great work."
