How Much Rain Did Encinitas Get During This Week's Showers?
The heaviest rainfall was concentrated in San Diego mountain communities, where over an inch of rain was gathered.
ENCINITAS, CA — After rain and gloomy weather passed over San Diego County roadways and neighborhoods for the new year, the clouds have begun to part — for now.
Across the county, most San Diego cities saw between .08 and one inch of rain, the National Weather Service reported.
San Diego mountain communities saw the most rain, with Julian gathering over an inch and a half of rain and Palomar receiving 1.03 inches of rain.

Here's a look at rainfall counts across San Diego County:
- Encinitas reported .08 inches of rain.
- Carlsbad reported .16 inches of rain.
- Santee reported .27 inches of rain.
- La Mesa reported .23 inches of rain.
- San Diego reported .12 inches of rain near the airport, and .27 inches of rain were collected near San Diego State University.
In addition, San Diego mountains saw some light snowfall at Palomar Mountain Birch and Mt. Laguna, where a foot of snow was reported.
