New Concert Series To Debut In Downtown Encinitas

ENCINITAS, CA — A new concert series is coming to Encinitas.

Courtyard Rhythms: A Downtown Encinitas Music Series will take place every Friday and Saturday in August through September in the heart of downtown Encinitas.

Hosted by the city of Encinitas and Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association, the pilot program will showcase local musicians, while participating merchants will offer activities and specials during the events.

Irene Pyun, executive director of Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association, told Patch that the organization is "thrilled to partner with the city" on the new live music series.

"Encinitas needed a space where live music can be enjoyed outside and now they can at the Lumberyard Courtyard every Friday and Saturday, beginning on Aug. 8," Pyun said.

Courtyard Rhythms was designed to bring neighbors together, support local artists, and stimulate economic growth in the downtown area, according to Encinitas 101 MainStreet. Concertgoers are encouraged to explore, dine and shop at the businesses surrounding the courtyard.

The series will take place in the Lumberyard Courtyard at 937 South Coast Highway 101. The first performance is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8.
