Garcia, a certified massage therapist who has lived in the San Diego area for 15 years, remembers watching "The Price is Right" as a child growing up in California's San Joaquin Valley.

"It was before I was in school, so I must have been 4," she said of when she started watching the Daytime Emmy Award-winning show. "I remember watching 'Sesame Street' and watching 'The Price is Right.'"

Garcia applied to be on the show via the show's website. She had a phone interview and a Zoom interview with the show's producers before she was selected.

"I was ecstatic," she said. "I had a feeling I was going to be picked."

Garcia went to the taping with a friend. It was her first time ever participating in a game show. She could not reveal what game she played and whether or not she won since the episode has not yet aired.

She said the experience was a "blast" and she most enjoyed meeting announcer George Gray and host Drew Carey.

"They are so easy-going and made me feel so comfortable," Garcia said. "It was really fun. I was so happy to have that experience."

The episode featuring Garcia is slated to air at 10 a.m. Wednesday on CBS.
