Popular Department Store Chain Coming To Encinitas
The 24,000-square-foot store will be located at El Camino Promenade.
ENCINITAS, CA — A popular department store chain is coming to Encinitas.
Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, is slated to open its doors in spring 2026. The retailer offers "great brands at great prices" and up to 70% off apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes, according to the company.
"We look forward to being a part of the Encinitas community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices," said Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack. "We're excited to grow our footprint in the San Diego market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience."

The 24,000-square-foot store will be located at El Camino Promenade, an Encinitas shopping center that includes Bevo, Dollar Tree, Five Below and TJ Maxx. El Camino Promenade, is owned and operated by an affiliate of Kimco Realty and is located off of El Camino Real and Via Molena.

The company currently operates 68 Nordstrom Rack stores and 26 Nordstrom stores in California.
There are currently five Nordstrom Rack locations in San Diego, as well as stores in La Jolla, National City, Oceanside and San Marcos. Last fall, Nordstrom Rack opened its newest San Diego area store in the Clairemont Town Square shopping center.
