Two-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Tarzana Pool
Police responding to a report of a woman screaming found a two-year-old boy who had drowned in a Tarzana swimming pool.
TARZANA, CA —A 2-year-old boy drowned Thursday in a pool in Tarzana.
Officers responded about 3:45 p.m. to a report of a woman screaming in the 5000 block of Topeka Drive, south of Ventura Boulevard, and found the child had fallen into a swimming pool, according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.
The officers administered CPR until firefighters arrived and took the child to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Im said.

The LAPD's Abused Child Unit was investigating the death, a standard procedure in such cases, Im said.
