ESCONDIDO, CA - <a href="https://patch.com/california/carlsbad/how-stone-brewerys-expansion-affects-carlsbad">Stone Brewery</a> announced this week it has reduced its workforce by roughly 5 percent or about 60 employee, according to reports.          "Stone remains one of the largest -- if not the largest -- employers in the craft brewing segment," CEO Dominic Engles said in a statement.         Escondido-based Stone Brewery, a small independent operation, is facing pressure in the crowded craft brewing market, including 130 in San Diego County.The brewery, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in August, says no additional layoffs are expected "within the foreseeable future."
