1 Stabbed To Death, Suspect Arrested In East Bay Street Fight
Police are urging people to stay out of the area amid the ongoing investigation.
FREMONT, CA — A person was stabbed to death in a street fight in Fremont Thursday afternoon, and a suspect is in custody, according to police.
At approximately 12:01 p.m., police officers responded to a report of two people involved in a physical fight in the 600 block of Upper Vintners Circle, the Fremont Police Department announced. When officers arrived on scene, they found a person lying on the ground, unresponsive and suffering from a significant stab wound, according to the police.
"Officers immediately administered trauma care, however, the subject passed away on scene," the Fremont Police Department announced in a written statement. "The other subject involved in the altercation was arrested at the scene."

The Fremont Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit is handling the investigation, and investigators will remain at the scene for the next several hours, the Fremont PD confirmed around 4 p.m. Thursday.
The Fremont Police Department is urging people to stay out of the area.

"There is no immediate threat to the community," the Fremont Police Department added.
