2 Shot, 1 Killed In Fremont's First Homicide Of 2025, Killer At Large

Two victims were found with gunshot injuries. One was taken to a trauma center, but the other was declared dead.

FREMONT, CA —A person was shot and killed in Fremont on Friday evening, according to police.

Fremont police officers were called to the 39000 block of Overacker Avenue at about 6:42 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

Officers from the Fremont Police Department's Special Response Team canvassed the area and were following up on leads on Saturday, but no suspects were arrested as of Saturday morning.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Alameda County Coroner once their next of kin has been notified.
