City Council Expected To Continue Mission Peak Permit Parking Program

First public hearing on proposed operating budget for fiscal year 2023/2024 also scheduled.

FREMONT, CA — Fremont City Council is expected to continue its Mission Peak Permit Parking Program when council holds a second reading and adoption of an ordinance amending the city's traffic regulations during its June 6 meeting.

Scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. council will also issue a proclamation for Nation Gun Violence Awareness Day and a proclamation recognizing June as Pride month.

Council will also hold its first public hearing on the fiscal year 2023/2024 proposed operating budget, the first public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2023/2024 to 2027/2028 Capital Improvement Program and Two-Year Capital Budget and adopt the legislative framework and support of Assembly Bill 1657 enacting the Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2024, which, if adopted, would authorize the issuance of bonds in the amount of $10,000,000,000 pursuant to the State General Obligation Bond Law.
