Deadly Shooting In Alameda County Was Over Of A Parking Dispute: Police
The District Attorney's Office has declined to file charges in a shooting that left one person dead and another injured, police said.
FREMONT, CA — No charges have been filed after police said they learned a shooting that left one person dead and another injured June 20 was due to a parking dispute.
At around 6:42 p.m. on June 20, Fremont Police Department officers said they responded to a report of a shooting on the 39000 block of Overacker Avenue. Police found one person, later identified as Anthony Santos, dead at the scene and transported another with non life-threatening injuries to the hospital.
Recently, officers said they discovered the parties involved in the incident had an ongoing dispute over a parking issue on a property next to the nearby train tracks.

The two groups had introduced weapons to the dispute earlier the same night of the shooting, police said. The argument later escalated and the two groups shot at each other until two people sustained gunshot wounds, police said.
The FPD has presented the case to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office but at this time the prosecutors have declined to file any charges and no arrests have been made, police said.
