Pedestrian struck and killed in Fremont on Dec. 18 (tricityvoice.com) — A pedestrian was fatally struck early Dec. 18 on Fremont Boulevard, south of Delaware Drive, marking Fremont’s seventh traffic death of 2025. Police say the driver stayed at the scene, impairment is not suspected, and they’re asking anyone with information to contact the Fremont Police Traffic Unit.

Fremont meat market manager addresses video (tricityvoice.com) — A viral Reddit video showing meat being unloaded from a box truck outside Maiwand Market on Fremont Boulevard has many locals questioning food safety. The store manager invited NBC Bay Area inside the meat locker and detailed their refrigerated supply chain, while distributors emphasized that all trucks are required to be refrigerated and sanitized with inspectors present.
