Dog Beating Caught On Video

After video circulated online of "a man repeatedly hitting a dog with an object," police tracked down the man and seized the dog.

FREMONT, CA — An abused dog in Fremont was placed in the care of the Tri-City Animal Shelter on Friday, after video circulated online of "a man repeatedly hitting a dog with an object," according to the Fremont Police Department.

No arrests have been announced.

The video was recorded on Thursday by a concerned witness who reported it to Fremont Animal Services, and shared the footage on social media.

Police say they immediately began an investigation.

The dog was seized on Friday and taken to a veterinarian for a full examination and treatment.
