Update: Missing Elderly Woman Is Home Safe

Marion Sass, 72, disappeared from her Fremont home at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

An elderly woman with severe medical problems who was reported missing early this morning has returned safe, police said.

There were no suspicious circumstances.

According to the Fremont Police Department, Marion Sass, 72 left her Fremont home near the Union City border at about 1:30 a.m. She was believed to have left on foot without her dentures, purse, ID or phone.

Police and relatives were concerned as Sass suffers from severe medical problems that require regular dialysis.

Fremont police reported that she had returned home shortly before 1 p.m.
