Fatal Shooting a 'Justifiable Homicide'
Police confirmed that the man killed in his Pardee Court home last Thursday was fatally shot by his son.

A 48-year-old Fremont man killed in his home last week was fatally shot by his son in a justifiable homicide, according to media reports.
Police told the Fremont Argus Tuesday that the 27-year-old son shot the father once in the chest with a handgun in self-defense during a dispute in which the father, two sons and other relatives were present.
The son is not being charged with any crime at the moment, police told the Argus.

The identities of the victim and son have yet been released.
The shooting occurred last Thursday at about 5:25 p.m. at a home on the 39500 block of Pardee Court.

The son turned himself in to police two hours later. He was interviewed and released later that night.
According to the Argus, police have had contact with both the father and son in the past for drug-related incidents.
Authorities are waiting for toxicology reports to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the shooting.
