Festive Plants Make Perfect Christmas Decorations: Photos Of The Day

Paul Sethy photographed his plants with vibrant red and white flowers.

FREMONT, CA — Paul Sethy has decorated his kitchen bay window with living Christmas decorations. In the foreground are Christmas Cactus flowers with Cyclamen in the background.

Paul tells Patch, "We've had this indoor houseplant for some time, and every year, as Christmas rolls around, it goes into bloom like clockwork. Interestingly, this cactus species originates in the rainforests of southeastern Brazil....not the desert. In the wild, it is a true succulent that absorbs water and moisture from the air and surfaces where it grows."

Paul goes on to call it a regenerating Christmas present.
