Fremont Home Severely Damaged By Fire
The home in uninhabitable, displacing a family of 5.

FREMONT, CA — A single family home caught fire in Fremont just after noon on Friday, causing damage so severe that it is not habitable. A family of five was displaced. No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at 12:03 p.m. in the 4600 block of Bianca Drive, according to the app Pulsepoint.
The Fremont Fire Department reports that the fire started in the kitchen. "Crews verified all residents were out of the home, and quickly initiated fire attack, search, and ventilation," the department said on social media.

Firefighters had the blaze under control in about a half hour.

In addition to fire damage, the fire department reports that wires are down, and both electricity and natural gas have been shut off to the home for safety. As the result, the home was red tagged, meaning it is unsafe to live in the home until it is properly repaired and inspected.

The two adults and three children who were displaced by the fire have been temporarily taken in by family members.
The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
