Fremont Police Chase, Arrest Robbery Suspects In San Leandro

The suspects led officers on a chase from Fremont to San Leandro, crashing multiple times along the way, police said.

FREMONT, CA — Four robbery suspects were arrested Friday after leading officers on a chaotic chase from Fremont to San Leandro, police said.

The chase began after the suspects robbed someone outside a bank in the 46000 block of Mission Boulevard and drove off in a car, according to the Fremont Police Department.

An automated license plate reader device located the vehicle the suspects were driving in, and officers attempted to pull them over, police said.

The driver, however, refused to stop, leading the officers on a chase through the Nimitz Freeway (I-880), police said.

During the chase, the suspects crashed at least three times before coming to a stop in San Leandro, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspects were taken into custody in connection with the robbery outside the bank in Fremont. They were also tied to another robbery at a nearby city earlier in the day, police said.
