Fremont Residents: This Patch is Yours

This website aims to be the hub of conversation and information all about Fremont. We need your involvement to make it successful.

In Fremont, everyone knows about The Hub. Located literally in the middle of town, at the busy intersection of Mowry and Fremont Boulevard, it's THE place to find just about anything you need when it comes to shopping or dining out.

With the launch of Fremont Patch, we hope you'll come to think of this web platform as this city's virtual hub, the site you'll click on to find out what's going on, to share information and to connect with neighbors.

The site joins an already robust roster of successful Patch towns. We have 870 Patch locations around the country, 60 of which are in the Bay Area, including Union City, Newark and Milpitas.

If you're a consumer looking for a restaurant or service, you can search for it in the directory. And if you're happy with an establishment, post a review or rate it.

If you know of an upcoming event, we have you covered there, as well. Go to the Events section and click “Add An Event.” We often feature public events on our home page and in our newsletter, so be sure to post a photo and/or video. We also host a community photo gallery that anyone can post to.

Do you have a wedding or engagement to announce or some news to share about a high school graduate or scholarship winner? Then post a short write-up in our Announcements section, which also allows families to post free obituaries.

Do you have a lot more to say about life in Fremont? Are you following local government, or are you an active PTA member? Got a hobby you'd like to share with your neighbors? Then become a blogger. We welcome your voice and your views.

Meet Your Editors

While our site welcomes contributions from citizens and bloggers, every Patch site is managed by a fulltime professional journalist.

Fremont Patch will be led by and as part of a Tri-Cities Patch team. (They like to think of it as "FUN," the Fremont, Union City and Newark Patches.)

Megino, a former newspaper reporter, started working with Patch two years ago as a freelance writer and was soon hired as the editor of Newark Patch. She's a Newark native and still lives within the Tri-Cities.

Maharaj is a longtime Bay Area resident. He's from Stockton originally and came to Patch two years ago to launch our Union City site.

They'll be telling the stories of the Tri-Cities and helping you to contribute your voices as well.

Let the conversation begin!
