Gas Prices Drop Significantly In Fremont
AAA attributes the decline to softer demand and lower oil costs.

FREMONT, CA — As spring break travel slows and fuel demand dips, drivers in Fremont and across California are getting a break at the pump. According to AAA Northern California, the state’s average gas price has dropped in the last two weeks, landing at $4.84 per gallon. That’s nearly 60 cents below the average at this time last year.
“The current soft demand for fuel is providing a much-needed relief for drivers,” said AAA Northern California spokesperson Doug Johnson.

- San Francisco: $5.05
- Oakland: $4.97
- San Jose: $4.94
- Sacramento: $4.90
- Fresno: $4.83
- Stockton: $4.76
Nationally, California still tops the list of states with the highest fuel costs, followed by Hawaii ($4.50) and Washington ($4.31). On the other end of the spectrum, Mississippi offers the lowest average at $2.68 per gallon. These figures are current as of Monday.
For electric vehicle drivers, public charging prices remain varied. Hawaii tops the list at 55 cents per kilowatt hour, while Kansas is the least expensive at 22 cents.
