Inkies Tattoo Studio to Move to Irvington
The move from Centerville to Irvington is expected to occur late next month.

Just three years after opening, Inkies Tattoo Studio is moving – but not very far.
Inkies Tattoo is moving from its Centerville location into a new shop in Irvington.
City council unanimously approved Inkies’ application to move to 40985 Fremont Blvd. at its regular meeting last Tuesday. Council approval was needed because a “tattoo and body piercing facility” was not allowed at the site prior to the council’s vote.

The move is one that was seven months in the making, according to owner Robert Arquero.
“We’re excited to move there. It’s really a perfect location for us,” Arquero said.

Arquero added that the new location will be double the size than the studio’s current location at 37485 Fremont Blvd. Inkies currently has eight tattoo artists, one piercer and other staff members.
On Facebook, Arquero thanked supporters of the studio that opened in January 2009.
“We are proud to be here as an elite high end business and we will continue to help Fremont grow into its full potential,” Arquero wrote to Inkies’ supporters on Facebook. “Thanks for all your support. We are blessed to have gotten this new location.”
More construction is under way at the new location but Arquero said the hope is to hold a grand opening of the new location sometime in mid- to late-October.
