July 4 Parade, Road Closures Tuesday In Fremont
Several major routes will be closed for part of Tuesday as Fremont celebrates Independence Day.

FREMONT, CA — Several major roadways will be closed in Fremont this Tuesday, July 4, for the city's 4th of July parade, announced the Fremont Police Department on Sunday.
From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents can expect roadways around the city to be closed and for additional traffic and delays during the event.
The following roads will be closed during the community event: Paseo Padre Parkway from Mowry Avenue and Stevenson Boulevard, Stevenson Boulevard between Civic Center Drive and Paseo Padre Parkway, Capitol Avenue between State Street and Paseo Padre Parkway, Hastings Street between Capitol Avenue and Mowry Avenue, Walnut Avenue between Liberty Street and Civic Center Drive, and Liberty Street between Beacon Avenue and Capitol Avenue.

The Fremont Main Library parking lot will also be closed for a staging area for parade floats.
Police also remind residents to refrain from bringing large bags at the event, since they are subject to search. Fireworks are also banned in Fremont.
