FREMONT, CA — Manish Pophale snapped this lovely photo of a mallard duck earlier this month during a sunset walk at Lake Elizabeth in Central Park. In an email, Pophale told Patch, "I could only imagine a scene of tranquility and contentment. The duck probably was enjoying the warmth of the sunset, maybe even closing its eyes in bliss. It was a picturesque moment of nature at peace, where the duck was simply taking in the simple pleasure of soaking up the sun's rays. Wonderful moment!"
