Man Dies After Diving Into Creek
Alan Chung, 26, of Fremont, drowned after jumping from a train bridge and into the Alameda Creek Saturday morning.

A 26-year-old man drowned Saturday morning after diving into the Alameda Creek in Fremont.
The man, identified by the Bay Area News Group as Fremont resident Alan Chung, and two friends were attempting to cool off by swimming in the creek near Mission Boulevard and Niles Canyon Road at around 11:30 a.m., police told reporters.
Chung did a flip off of a train bridge and into the water but never came back up, KTVU reports.

A rescue team responded to the scene and recovered Chung’s body at around 2:30 p.m.
Chung’s death is not believed to be a suicide and no foul play is suspected, according to BANG.
