Man Robbed by Escort

The 26-year-old was robbed at gunpoint by a woman and her accomplice early Monday morning.

A 26-year-old Fremont man was robbed by an escort and her accomplice early Monday morning, the Fremont Argus reports.

According to the article, police said the man was likely set up by female suspect, who they believe was an escort. He was talking to her on a Stevenson Boulevard corner at around 12:45 a.m. when a man pushed him to the ground, pointed a .45 caliber handgun and robbed him of $100.

The victim, who was not injured, denied calling the escort. However, phone records indicate that he placed repeated calls to her prior to the robbery. He likely got the number from an online ad, according to the Argus.

The victim’s version of the story is that he was out on a walk when an early 2000s Dodge van pulled up next to him. A woman got out of the van and asked him for his number. That’s when he a man hopped out and robbed him.

Both the woman and the assailant got back into the van and drove off.

According to the report, the male suspect is black with a stocky build with shoulder length deadlocks or braids. He was wearing a blue sweater, black shirt and black hat.

The female suspect was described as white, about 5-foot-6 with blonde hair and an average build. She was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and black pants.
