Man Snatches iPhone From Woman at Bus Stop

Police were unable to locate the suspect.

A man snatched a woman’s cell phone as she waited at a bus stop near Hope Station Tuesday.

Police responded to the area at noon and found the victim inside of the thrift store, located 37482 Fremont Blvd.

According to the Fremont Police Department, the victim was looking down and texting on her phone when a man came up to her, put his hand over her mouth and grabbed her white iPhone.

The suspect attempted to get away but the woman screamed and grabbed onto him. He dragged her for a few feet before he broke free, police said.

A witness screamed at the suspect, who then took off running eastbound on Parish Avenue.

Officers searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-2 wearing a light colored t-shirt, dark blue-black jeans and purple, black and pink Nike Air Jordan shoes.
