Man Threatens to Kill Himself Inside CVS
The man had to be tased in order to be subdued.

A drunken man made suicidal remarks and stabbed himself in the stomach inside of the Fremont Hub CVS Friday evening, according to the Fremont Argus.
Officers had to use a taser to subdue the man, a 35-year-old Redding resident, after he ignored demands to drop a kitchen knife, the Argus reports.
According to the report, the incident occurred at about 5:35 p.m. when employees called police about a man drinking a bottle of brandy while holding an 8-inch knife and ordering everyone to get out of the store.

The man had stabbed himself once in the stomach, causing a small wound, and set the knife, along with the bottle of brandy, on the counter before officers responded to the scene, according to the Argus.
The man reportedly ignored the officers’ commands to step away from the knife and started walking toward it. Believing the man to be a danger to himself, the officers tased him.

He was detained and taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation
