More Than 100 Free Wi-Fi Access Points Installed Across Fremont: Officials
People will be able to connect to the new Wi-Fi access points starting Friday, city officials said.
FREMONT, CA — People will be able to connect to hundreds of newly installed Wi-Fi signals in Fremont starting Friday, according to city officials.
City officials say 125 access points were strategically installed across Fremont's six major business districts — Downtown, Niles, Irvington, Centerville, Mission San Jose and Warm Springs.
The Wi-FI signals were installed as a way to "bridge the digital divide and enhance connectivity across the community," according to Fremont city officials.

No password will be required to connect. Anyone looking to connect will need to click on an Access Fremont network on their devices and accept the terms and conditions, officials said.
