Motorcyclist Killed in Fremont Collision
The wreck marks the city's eighth fatal traffic crash of 2024.

FREMONT, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a passenger vehicle on Mowry Avenue near Crosspointe Common on Thursday, according to Fremont Police. The victim's name is not immediately available.
Officers responded to the scene at 7:10 p.m., where they found the severely injured motorcyclist.
Despite emergency medical efforts by both the police and Fremont Fire Department, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial reports indicate that the passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on Mowry Avenue before moving into the left turn lane to enter Crosspointe Common. The westbound motorcyclist collided with the front of the car.
The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police say neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
This incident marks Fremont’s eighth fatal traffic collision this year.
The Fremont Police Department's Traffic Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities are asking any witnesses or those with information about the collision to contact the Fremont Police Department’s Traffic Unit or submit an anonymous tip.
