Collision Between Big-Rig And Passenger Vehicle Leaves 1 Dead In Fremont
A passenger vehicle traveling west on Stewart Avenue collided with a big-rig traveling northbound on Boyce Road.
FREMONT, CA — One person is dead following and early morning crash in Fremont Monday, Sept. 26, Fremont police said.
The incident occurred at about 4:15 a.m. when officers responded to 911 calls about a collision at Stewart Avenue and Boyce Road.
According to an incident report issued by Fremont PD, upon their arrival to the scene, officers discovered a passenger vehicle traveling west on Stewart Avenue collided with a big-rig hauling a tanker traveling northbound on Boyce Road when it entered the intersection.

"Three occupants were in the passenger vehicle, and one of the occupants passed away," the incident report said.
The person killed remains unidentified pending the coroner's identification and notification of next of kin, police said

"The tractor driver was not injured and remained on scene to cooperate with the investigation," the incident report said, adding that the Fremont Police Department Traffic Unit took over the investigation of the collision.
