Pedestrian Killed Fremont Collision Was Hit By A Bus
The crash last Thursday included additional vehicles that hit the man.
FREMONT, CA — A fatal traffic collision occurred last Thursday morning, when a male pedestrian was struck by a passenger bus on Mission Boulevard near Warm Springs Boulevard.
Fremont Police received a report of the accident at approximately 5:50 a.m. Officers arrived to find the pedestrian deceased in the roadway.
Preliminary investigations suggest the pedestrian was standing in the eastbound lanes of Mission Boulevard when he was hit by the bus. It is believed that he was also struck by additional vehicles, all of whose drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with authorities.

The identity of the deceased pedestrian has not been released, pending notification of family by the Alameda County Coroner's Office.
Fremont Police have confirmed that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision.

This marks Fremont’s ninth fatal traffic collision in 2024. Of these, five occurred on city streets, three on state routes, and one on private property.
The investigation is ongoing.
