Person Killed Sunday Morning on I-680 in Fremont
It's unknown yet whether the person was a pedestrian or involved in a car accident.

A person was killed Sunday morning in an accident in Fremont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to a report of three cars pulled over to the right hand side of northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Fremont near the Washington Boulevard off-ramp at about 12:24 a.m., the CHP said.

The CHP also received reports of a body lying in the slow lane in that area.
One person was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead, the CHP said.

All but one lane were closed as the scene was cleared, and all lanes were reopened at about 1:20 a.m., according to the CHP.
