Plan Your Child's Summer Camp Activities With the City of Fremont

The City of Fremont offers a variety of summer camps for children.

From the City of Fremont

Summer is here as well as the time-honored tradition of Summer Camps. The City of Fremont offers many full- day camps (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at various sites throughout Fremont! One of the main locations is Fremont’s Central Park/Lake Elizabeth, where any given week during the summer there are up to 11 camps appealing to many different interests, including Sports, Academic, Water Fun, Nature, and many more!

To assist parents in helping their child experience a rich and diverse summer camp experience, with minimal scheduling hassle, we also offer extended care options throughout the summer. Morning care is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and afternoon extended care is from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Your child is then transported to camp and/or extended care in the morning or afternoon program by vehicle or walking with staff escorts.

New this Summer at Central Park/Lake Elizabeth

We have two locations for the extended care programs. For those camps located at the West side of the park, including camps held at the Softball Complex, Tennis Center, or Golf Center, the extended care is located at the Sports Complex.

For the camps held on the East side of the park, including those at the Teen Center, Central Park Visitor Center, Fremont Community Center, Aqua Adventure Water Park, or the Clean Water Education Center, the extended- care program will be held at the Fremont Community Center. For both locations the children registered for the extended-care program will be picked up at their camp and either driven or walked by City of Fremont staff.

The Central Park Extended Care program is not able to pick up children at locations other than the ones at Central Park. However, many of our other locations, including the Irvington Community Center and Warm Springs Community Center, are also offering extended-care options. Please call those locations to verify if the extended-care option is available for the week you are considering camps outside of Central Park/Lake Elizabeth. You may also visit www.RegeRec.com (Advanced Key Word Search: Extended Care) to for more information.

To help you plan your child’s summer day camp activities, visit www.Fremont.gov/DayCamps and use our handy Planning Guide at www.Fremont.gov/RecPlanningGuide. Paper planning guides are also available at any community center, Sports Complex, Tennis Center, or Boat House (in Central Park).
