Police Issue Illegal Fireworks Warning In This Alameda County Town
Police are asking the community to report any fireworks during peak times on July 4 and July 5.

FREMONT, CA — The police and fire departments will be patrolling during peak times on the Fourth of July in Fremont to locate any fireworks, which are illegal in the town, police said.
All fireworks have been banned in the City of Fremont since 1986, including those labeled "safe and sane," police said. According to the Fremont Police Department, this has helped reduce injuries, wildfires and structure fires caused by fireworks.
The FPD and Fremont Fire Department will be actively patrolling to monitor fireworks use during peak times, especially along the hillside, police said.
