Portion of Lake Elizabeth Walkway Closed as Part of BART Extension Project

The pathway near Central Park's softball fields is temporarily closed.

BART continues its work to restore Fremont Central Park following the completion of the subway portion of the Warm Springs Extension project.

Construction crews will replace storm drains and damaged sidewalks at the entrance to the Central Park pedestrian pathway.

As part of this work, access to the pedestrian pathway around Lake Elizabeth will be closed at the Stevenson Blvd. entrance, adjacent to the softball fields.

Park users have two options to access the pedestrian path. Pedestrians can access the pathway further south on Stevenson Blvd. near the soccer field.

Pedestrians can also access the pathway from the Central Park entrance at Paseo Padre Parkway
