Road Closures in Central Downtown Planned Through Thursday
Walnut Avenue and California Street will experience street closures due to utility work.
From the Fremont Police Department:
The City's contractor, Sanco Pipelines, will be doing utility work that requires closure of Walnut Avenue westbound from Liberty Street to California Street in the City's Central Downtown area, from Friday 9/14 through Thursday 9/20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day (except the weekend).
California Street will also be closed to through traffic during the times noted above.
Detours will be signed for Walnut Avenue westbound traffic to turn north or south on Liberty Street; thence continuing to Beacon and Sundale westbound to arrive at Fremont Boulevard. The eastbound direction of Walnut Avenue will remain open.
