Roadwork on Mission Boulevard Scheduled This Weekend

Due to upcoming roadwork, expect delays on Mission Boulevard, from Interstate 680 to Pine Street on Sept. 20, 21, and 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The slurry seal project is one of the City’s annual pavement maintenance projects. The process will apply a layer of a mixture of oil and fine aggregates over the existing asphalt pavement. The contractor, Valley Slurry Seal (VSSI), will begin slurry seal on Mission Boulevard from Interstate 680 to Pine Street.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Slurry seal the outside portion of southbound Mission Boulevard from Interstate 680 to Mill Creek Road.

Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Slurry seal the inside portion of southbound Mission Boulevard from Interstate 680 to Mill Creek Road; Slurry seal the outside portions of both northbound and southbound Mission Boulevard from Mill Creek Road to Pine Street.

Monday, Sept. 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Slurry Seal the inside portions of both northbound and southbound Mission Boulevard from Mill Creek Road to Pine Street.
