FREMONT, CA — Several agencies and volunteers continued to search Thursday morning for Michael Odell, a travel nurse at Stanford Hospital who left in the middle of a shift on Tuesday and never returned.

Odell, 27, “left work abruptly” to head to his car around 4:30 a.m. and “never came back,” his roommate, Joshua Paredes, told NBC Bay Area.

Odell’s car was found Tuesday by the Dumbarton Bridge Toll Plaza in Fremont, but there was no sign of him. Odell worked as a neurological nurse in the intensive care unit, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
