Sig Alert Cancelled After 2 Big Rigs Collide

SUNOL, CA — A crash on southbound I-680 in Sunol blocked the right lanes for more than five hours Thursday morning.

No one was injured, but plenty of nerves were frayed as the morning commute was a mess.

The California Highway Patrol reports that a big rig crashed into a parked big rig shortly after 5 a.m. A Sig-Alert was issued at 6:51 a.m., and canceled at 10:23.

The crash was south of Andrade Road.
