SpaceX Rocket Launch Seen From Fremont: Photo

Although the rocket launch was 250 miles away, it put on a spectacular show.

FREMONT, CA — Did you see a strange sight in the sky over Fremont on Monday? Ganesh Sayee Ramakrishnan photographed the SpaceX rocket launch at 6:13 p. m., around 5 minutes after the launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base on the Central Coast, 250 miles away. A Falcon 9 rocket launched 23 new Starlink internet satellites into low-Earth orbit.
