Summer Concert Series Kicks off Thursday
The concerts will take place between July 11 and Aug. 15 and will span various musical genres.
Get in the groove at the City of Fremont’s 2013 Summer Concert Series.
Kicking off this week, the free concerts will be held every Thursday from July 11 to Aug. 15 at the Central Park Performance Pavilion. The performances will last from 6 to 8 p.m.
The series features a variety of acts that span multiple genres of music.

The family-friendly events will also include a kids’ fun zone sponsored by Bay Area Jump and food available for purchase from Central Park BBQ Services.

- July 11: Jukebox Heroes. As their name suggests, this cover band plays some of your favorite classic rock and 80s hits, from Huey Lewis and the News to Billy Idol.
- July 18: Unauthorized Rolling Stones. This tribute band has been starting up parties for more than a decade and opening for bands like Journey and the Beach Boys. If you’re a Stones fans, you don’t want to miss this one.
- July 25: Diablo Road. The Saddle Rack’s house band, Diablo Road churns out energetic country jams and is led by Jewels Hanson.
- Aug. 1: Big Cat Tolefree. Backed by his Hipnotic Blues Band, Big Cat serves up very funky blues and soul. The Oakland native is sure to get Central Park grooving.
- Aug. 8: East Bay Mudd. Regulars at the Fremont concert series, this local 10-piece is known for rocking crowds with their upbeat renditions of funk, soul and R&B classics.
- Aug. 15: The Houserockers. This 10-piece outfit lives up to their name, having been previously dubbed the “Best Cover Band in the Bay Area” by KFOX Radio. They belt out a number of electrifying rock and soul classics.
